Fans noticed these titles leaving when browsing through the PlayStation Plus section of the PS5 dashboard, as the service now has a ‘last chance to play section’, highlighting the games leaving to give players a heads up.
The most notable title leaving the service is Stray, an indie cat adventure that I didn’t expect to be emotionally invested in its voice-less cast of characters that populated this post-apocalyptic journey. It was released on the PlayStation Plus Games Catalog for Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers on day one of its official releases back in July 2022, clearly showing the title’s developer and publisher had a one-year deal of some sort with Sony.
If you haven’t tried the game, best to try it now as it’s worth the time and is rather short as all you need is a weekend to get through the game.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
