Sony Drops PSN Requirement for Its PC Games
/VGC reports that Sony will no longer require PC players to sign up for a PSN account to play any of Sony’s games when they become available on PC. Moving forward, the incentive for having a PSN will be in the form of in-game rewards.
Rewards for those with a PSN account on PC
Players that do have a PSN account will get these in-game rewards when playing the PC ports of Sony’s games.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
Early unlock suits: the Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit and the Miles Morales 2099 Suit
God of War Ragnarök
Gain access to the Armor of the Black Bear set for Kratos at the first Lost Items chest in the Realm Between Realms (previously only accessible in a New Game+ run) and a resource bundle (500 Hacksilver and 250 XP)
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered
+50 points to activate bonus features and unlock extras
Jordan’s Jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet as a skin for Ellie
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered
Gain access to Nora Valiant outfit
The removal of the PSN requirement comes before the release of Marvels Spider-Man 2 on Steam. This change will also affect previous titles released on PC, such as God of War Ragnarök, Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered.
The PSN backlash started when Sony started requiring Helldivers 2 players on PC to have a PSN account and applied that requirement to future titles such as the ones mentioned above.
Sony games are still region-locked for select countries
Along with the PSN requirement, Sony also silently region-locked their games starting with Helldivers 2 (which was not region-locked at launch) and future titles, making select countries like the Philippines barred from purchasing or even seeing their games on Steam.

Synduality Echo of Ada has potential, but its flawed economy, tedious grind, and lack of meaningful story incentives make it hard to recommend in its current state. Without drastic improvements, it risks being forgotten before it ever finds a steady audience.
