Crysis Remastered Trilogy now available on various platforms
/If you haven’t got a chance to play any of the Crysis games from Crytek, now would be an ideal time as the Crysis Remastered Trilogy is now available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
The package features Crysis, Crysis 2, and Crysis 3, all enhanced with better optimization. Crysis Remastered launched last year first for PS4, Xbox One, and PC but this will be the first time we’ll see a new version of the two sequels.
Physical copies of the remaster trilogy will be available for the Xbox and PlayStation platforms. For the Nintendo Switch, physical copies of Crysis 2 Remastered and Crysis 3 Remastered will be available separately at a later date.
If you’re interested in buying specific titles and not the whole package, both the remasters of Crysis 2 and 3 will be available through digital stores such as the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation STore, Microsoft Store, even the Nintendo eShop. Each one is priced at USD 29.99.
Crysis Remastered, the first of the three that has been available for some time now received not so favorable reviews as the changes were not what many were expecting when you add ‘Remastered’ in the title.
But it looks like Crysis 2 is a different story.
Crysis 2 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 wasn’t the ideal platform to play the game for technical reasons. This time around, based on Digital Foundry’s analysis, Crysis 2 looks significantly better not only in next-gen consoles but previous-gen.According to Digital Foundry’s YouTube channel below, Crytek and Saber Interactive did a better job this time around as it seems like the devs are delivering a better console version of the game to make up what was released years ago.
For Crysis 3, it’s difficult to expect a major enhancement as that title - which was released in 2013 - still look gorgeous even by today's standards.
The Crysis Remastered Trilogy is now available today for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
