Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for April 19 - April 25, 2023
This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.
It is worth it depending on what you have available during that time so choose carefully as 2,000 shards are hard to earn, especially for new players from either side.
Killer Perks
Agitation (The Trapper) - When carrying a Survivor, you have a 6/12/18% increase in movement speed. Your Terror Radius is also increased by 12 meters.
Bloodhound (The Wraith - Pools of blood left by Survivors are more visible to see as the blood will be brighter than usual and will linger for 2/3/4 seconds longer than normal.
Survivor Perks
Teamwork: Power of Two (Thalita Lyra) - Whenever you’ve healed another Survivor, this perk activates, and both you and the Survivor you just healed earn a 5% haste as long as you stay within 12 meters of one another, or one of you lose a health state.
After Care (Jeff Johansen) - You see the aura of the last 1/2/3 Survivors you have rescued from the hook, or who has rescued you from a hook. You also see the aura of those you’ve healed or have healed you.
Survivors you rescued from the hook and those you’ve healed will also see your aura.
The effects of Aftercare will go away once you are hooked.
Which perks are worth getting this week?
Survivors get a chance to unlock one of the latest perks added to the game recently during the Tools of Torment Chapter through Shards. Teamwork: Power of Two is a fun perk if healing others is your thing as a 5% increase can definitely prolong a chase or get the two of you to the next Generator faster. Problem is, you need to stick together, so it’s best to use this when paired with friends. I’ve experienced players going off on their own not noticing that I have this perk, breaking the haste.
Aftercare is another perk that’s all about helping others as you get to keep tabs on those you’ve unhooked and healed. Not the best source of information as there are better perks that do the same without the need of being too altruistic to get value off of the perk.
As for Killers, Bloodhound just makes it easier to see blood which is not the best use of a perk slot unless you are struggling to see the blood trails left by Survivors. Lastly, Agitation remains to be a fantastic perk. Don’t be fooled by its effects as an 18% movement speed increase saves so much time and saves you from possible hook saboteurs. You might also catch a few Survivors off guard with your increased speed and get a cheeky hit.
