Destiny 2 - Season of Defiance Week 8
New Season of Defiance mission is now available
A couple of weeks ago I thought there won’t be any more story progression but I was obviously wrong as a new mission is now available called.
If you’re updated with all the seasonal content, then the new content should be available to you at the H.E.L.M. Visit Crow and he’ll give you a new mission called ‘Retribution’ where you go on the offensive this time.
Once you’re done, listen to the transmission from Crow at the Farm and make sure you go to Zavala after, you’ll be given a special gift that can be obtained in the Tower hanger.
Featured Grandmaster Nightfall is currently the hardest strike in the game
This week’s featured GM will be pure pain as Heist Battlegrounds Mars is the second Strike to be featured in the toughest Vanguard game mode. Don’t take this strike lightly as you’ll need to drop in with a strong Fireteam and a plan. It’s so hard players are resorting to cheese tactics in the last encounter.
The featured Nightfall weapon in Week 8 is Mindbender’s Ambition, with the Adept version dropping in Grandmaster.
Just like last week, you can focus on the featured Adept weapon, you’ll just need 10 Nightfall Ciphers, 50 Legendary Shards, 1 Vanguard Engram, and 50,000 Glimmer. Still hoping that they increase the amount of Nightfall Ciphers a player can carry as it’s set to just 10.
Featured Raid and Dungeon for Week 8
Week 8 features the Garden of Salvation raid as well as the Duality dungeon as both will score you pinnacle gear as well.
Touch Grass emote available for Bright Dust
For 3,250 Bright Dust you can touch grass. Well, at least do the emote of touching artificial grass. It’s a great emote but a tough one to instantly pull the trigger as we have a lot of good options in the Bright Dust store this week, like the Whaler’s Whim ornament for the Wish-Ender exotic bow is available, perfect as the bow is seen more often in various activities.
Trails of Osiris returns again this week
Another week for Trials. If you go Flawless during Week 8 of Trials you’ll get to farm a good roll for the Unwavering Duty Adept. Trials matches will take place in Distant Shore.
But Trials will feel a bit different this time in terms of matchmaking as there will be two active poos this time around — Challenger pool and Practice Pool.
Challenge Pool will be based on the player’s connection and flawless cards while Practice Pool will be for flawed player’s connections and their weekly performance.
Crucible modes Momentum Control and Rumble return this week
When you visit the Crucible page you’ll notice a lot of game modes now available as Momentum Control and Rumble make a return in Week 8.
This is another chance to get some seasonal challenges done as Week 4 did have a challenge that requires you to play Momentum Control. If you haven’t done it, make sure you do it for some experience and Bright Dust.
That’s the current highlights for Week 8. As usual, the usual changes for each featured raid dungeon, the modifiers for each one have changed and you can have a look at what to expect in the Destiny 2 subreddit page.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
