Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for February 15 - February 21, 2023
This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.
To unlock a perk through the Shine of Secrets, you’ll need to spend Iridescent Shards per perk. Tier 1 perks can cost 2,000 shards.
Here’s the description of each perk.
Killer Perks
Hex: Face the Darkness - Once a Survivor is injured by any means, Hex: Face the Darkness activates in one of the available Dull totems in the match, cursing that Survivor.
All other Survivors will scream every 35/30/25$ seconds if they are outside of the Killer’s terror radius, revealing their aura for 2 seconds each time.
The hex totem will deactivate if the cursed Survivor goes to the dying state, or becomes healthy.
Blood Echo (The Oni) - When hooking a Survivor, all other injured Survivors suffer from the Haemorrhage and Exhausted effect for 45 seconds.
This perk can only trigger once every 80/70/60 seconds.
Survivor Perks
Quick Gambit (Vittorio Toscano) - Increases repair speed of any other Survivor by 6/7/8% while you are being chased within 24 meters of the Generator they are currently repairing.
Desperate Measures ( Felix Richter) - Increases your action speeds in healing and unhooking by 10/12/14% for each injured, hooked, or dying Survivor, up to a maximum of 40/48/56%.
Which perks are worth getting this week?
Thanks to this week, all the perks added from the Knight Chapter were now offered in the Shrine of Secrets at least once.
Quick Gambit for Survivor is probably the weakest Survivor perk from the latest chapter as it’s tough to get the most out of 8% repair speed. 24 meters isn’t so big and all it does is force you to keep the killer where other Survivors are working on a generator. Not a big favorite as making it work can backfire.
Desperate Measures, on the other hand, is a decent perk to consider if you’re all about saving healing, and getting people off hooks. Works great against killers that love to hit and run to keep Survivors injured and if you pair this up with Bond, you can quickly find your teammates for a quick heal.
As for Killer, Hex: Face the Darkness is something that would be fun to have though you’ll have to keep track of which Survivor is cursed. Pair it with Lethal Pursuer to get in a chase the moment the match starts to get the Hex going and get extra seconds in aura reading when the hex activates.
Blood Echo is an okay perk, the only problem is making sure you are activating this perk every time it’s available, which is tricky. If you can pull it off though, it can really hinder a Survivor team. Consider pairing it with Fearmonger to really keep the Exhaustion going.
Behaviour Entertainment revealed last week that the next Chapter will be called Tools of Torment, and teased the concept of the new Killer that seems to be mechanical in nature. We’ll know more about it later today.
