Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for March 15 - March 21, 2023
This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.
It being worth it depends on what you have available during that time so choose carefully as 2,000 shards are hard to earn, especially for new players from either side.
Killer Perks
Territorial Imperative (The Huntress) - The Aura of a Survivor entering the Basement when you are at least 32 meters away is revealed to you for 3 seconds.
The perk has a cooldown of 30/25/20 seconds.
Gearhead (The Deathslinger) - After a Survivor losses a health state, Gearhead activates. While the perk is active, a Survivor succeeding a Great Skill Check while repairing reveals their aura to you for 6/8/10 seconds, after which Gearhead deactivates.
Survivor Perks
Technician (Feng Min) - When failing a Skill Check while repairing, the generator will no longer explode, apply the default regression penalty, and applies an additional regression penalty of 5/4/3%.
The audible range of you repairing a generator is reduced by 8 meters.
Windows of Opportunity (Kate Denson) - The auras of Breakable Walls, Pallets, and Windows are revealed to you within 24/28/32 meters.
Which perks are worth getting this week?
This lineup of perks available is more beneficial for Survivors as Windows of Opportunity is one of the best perks available to that role. It may sound simple, but knowing where you can go while on a chase to extend it as much as you can is a very strong piece of information, especially when you’re a veteran in the game and know the tiles.
As for the other Survivor perk, I don’t recommend Technician as it will barely get any value. Also, it also has a drawback of a stronger generator regression, which I don’t get at all.
For Killer, there’s not much for you to look at this week, so it’s best to save your shards for future weeks. Gearhead could provide you with solid information on where to go next, but I find it weird that it can become useless to those not good at pulling off Great Skill checks, making it situational that there’s a chance you might never get the perk to activate once.
Lastly, Territorial Imperative is very situational as it revolves around basement play. If you are able to trap someone there, all this gives you is a warning that someone is going for the save, but I don’t think you need to use a perk slot to get that information. At best, you could catch a Survivor going down to open a chest, possibly giving you a basement hook.
