Deathloop Delayed Yet Again To September 14
/ Carlos HernandezBethesda Softworks and developer Arkane Lyon’s Deathloop has been delayed to September 14, 2021. It’s set to release on the PS5 and PC.
This is the second major delay as originally, it was planned for a holiday 2020 release but pushed to Q2 of 2021. Then, they revealed that they are aiming for a May 21 release and now we are here as the Deathloop is now a September 2021 title.

”We’ve made the decision to delay the launch of Deathloop to September 14, 2021.
We’re committed to quality and preserving our team’s ambitions for Deathloop while ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane. We’ll be using this extra time to accomplish our goal: create a fun, stylish, and mind-bending player experience.
We apologize for the extended wait and thank you all for your passion and excitement. It is the fuel that powers our creativity and our hard work. We can’t wait to show you more Deathloop soon!

They also released a video that features game director Dinga Bakaba and art director Sebastien Mitton to announce the latest delay via their Twitter account.

Deathloop is the next title from Arkane’s Lyon Studio and you play as Colt, who is stuck in a time loop and must find a way to break the loop by assassinating eight specific targets while fending off Julianna (player-controlled online), an assassin hunting you down to maintain the time loop.
Deathloop still remains a PS5 console exclusive for only one year despite Microsoft now owning publisher Bethesda’s parent company ZeniMax Media, putting all franchises , including Deathloop, under the Xbox banner. Xbox studio head Phil Spencer told Bloomberg that they will honor the deal made before the acquisition was made, this includes Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire: Tokyo which is also planned to be a PS5 timed console exclusive.
