/Destiny 2 was updated recently with a new collaboration set that features mass Effect-inspired cosmetics for all three of the live service game’s classes. It features the Commander Shepard-inspired N7 armor set for Titans, a Garrus-inspired Vakarian set for Hunters, and a Liara-inspired Shadow Broker set for Warlocks.
Players can also expect the Alliance Requisition Bundle which contains the Enhanced Defense Ghost Shell, Alliance Scout Frigate ship, and Alliance Drop Ship Sparrow. This bundle will be free to all players.
If you are looking to add more flare, the Omni Strike finisher and Flux Dance emote were also added, though they will cost Silver.
A new event starts this week - Riven’s Wishes, and more
Destiny 2 isn’t only being updated with new cosmetics as a brand new event called Riven’s Wishes starts this week. This gives players a new set of weekly quests to participate in from now until March 12. Doing these each week will earn you tokens which can then be converted to rewards.
This event revolves around you trying to rescue the only remaining eggs of the Ahammkara in the hopes of preventing its kind as it is on the brink of extinction. You’ll be heading to the Dreaming City and doing these will result in you getting one single wish from Riven herself.
If you are an avid Triumps completionist, Bungie is also doing a Moments of Triumphs event that is now available from now until June 3. Players are given a chance to do past Triumphs from previous seasons or expansions in preparation for the upcoming The Final Shape expansion.
Bungie is filling the void even more as they have the annual Guardian Games celebration event kicking off in March as planned, plus the new Destiny 2: Into the Light content update that will be available to all players starting this April. Into the Light will be the final content drop to tie in the whole game to the eventual release of The Final Shape expansion going live on June 4. It’s an important expansion as the finale of the light and darkness saga started way back at the beginning of Destiny.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
