DMM GAMES Announces Release of Real-Time Tactics Game War Mongrels on Xbox
/DMM GAMES, a subsidiary of EXNOA LLC, has announced the release of War Mongrels, a real-time tactics game set in World War II. Developed by Polish game company Destructive Creations, the digital version of the game is now available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X priced at P1850 and has a slight discount for a limited time.
War Mongrels tells the story of two German Wehrmacht soldiers who become guerrilla troopers as they fight against the Nazi military forces during World War II. Players must navigate a variety of environments, using different skills and strengths to outwit the enemy and accomplish their missions. As the story progresses, the two soldiers meet new companions who support their cause.
The game is divided into two parts – a story-driven section told in 2D animation, and a mission-based section in which the player controls the character from a isometric bird's eye view. The animated part of the story is narrated with sound, and the scenario unfolds as the main characters struggle to survive the chaos of war and save as many people as possible.
In addition to the Xbox release, pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 downloadable and packaged versions of War Mongrels are now available, with a scheduled release date of July 13, 2023. The game was previously released on the PC platform through Steam, Epic Game Store, and the DMM Game Player in 2021.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
