Everybody knows E3 is one of the biggest events in the video game industry as top companies and studios reveal their upcoming titles and hardware to the public. This year will be different due to the current state of the world as E3 2021 is going completely digital, meaning you can watch all the big game reveals and announcements at the comforts of your home. So here’s a brief explanation on where to watch E3 online this year.
How to watch all E3 2021 conferences live
E3 will host multiple conferences throughout the event from June 12 to June 15, 2021 and it will be free to watch for everyone through the internet. The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) will live stream these presentations through E3’s official social media accounts such as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. You can also give E3’s official mobile app a shot or watch it on their official website as all presentations will be available there as well.
The ESA also partnered with a variety of social media distribution services from Tiktok, Steam, AfreecaTV, to even Reddit, you can see the full list of distribution services here but so expect constant reports and posts about E3 2021 form June 12 to June 15.
Here’s a quick list of each conference in case you want to watch each presentation on their respective channels.
June 12 - Ubisoft Forward
Watch: Twitch
Ubisoft has announced that their showcase will take place on June 12, 12 PM PDT / 3 PM EST / June 13, 3 AM GMT +8.
Ubisoft has yet to confirm what will be showcased during the live event but expect more details about Far Cry 6, the yet to be re-revealed Rainbow Six Quarantine, and hopefully more news about Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Skull & Bones. We might even get a new IP, it is E3 after all.
June 13 - Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase
Bethesda will no longer have its own press conference and will be with in Microsoft’s press conference for obvious reasons. The showcase will go live on June 13, 10 AM PDT / 1 PM EST /, June 14, 1 AM GMT +8.
This is probably the one to watch as there’s a lot of upcoming games many are eager to know more about, such as games like Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls VI (maybe?), Starfield, Xbox’'s Halo Infinite, and more upcoming titles to give us a clear picture of what to look forward to in Microsoft’s corner. It’s going to be a 90-minute broadcast so buckle up and get ready for a series of “world premieres” and hopefully a fair amount of surprises.
June 13 - PC Gaming Show
PC Gaming Show is back at E3 and will be live on June 13. No time was given at this moment but expect all reveals and news to be for…well the PC platform. Hopefully we get a full list of what will be featured as we get closer to the event.
June 13- Square Enix Showcase
Square Enix has yet to confirm the exact date and where we can exactly watch the showcase.
June 15 - Nintendo Direct + Treehouse Live
Nintendo has stated that this year’s Nintendo Direct during E3 will be "roughly 40 minutes of info focused exclusively on Nintendo Switch software, mostly releasing in 2021.". We then have Treehouse showcasing roughly 3 hours of deep dives into select games.
