Earn Free Rewards During the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta

The Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 open beta starts this week for PS5 and PS4 users who have pre-ordered the game from September 16 - 17 and will be open to all PlayStation users from September 18-20. Either you play early or next week, you’ll get a shot at earning cosmetic in-game items when servers go live. 

There’s a total of 10 rewards to earn and reaching a certain level in the beta will earn you these rewards. If you want to earn everything, you’ll have to reach at least level 30, which isn’t so hard considering how fast leveling can be in previous Call of Duty games. You can equip them during the beta and these rewards will be waiting for you when the game finally launches on October 28, 2022. 

Here is what you can earn as you level up during the open beta.

Weekend 1

  • Level 2 : Animated Emblem ‘Smashed it” 

  • Level 4 : Charm “Buckle Up” 

  • Level 6 : Animated player card “Pass the test”

  • Level 10 : Sticker “Operation First Blood”

  • Level 15 : Weapon blueprint “Side Impact

Weekend 2

  • Level 18: Operator skin “Collision”

  • Level 19: Vinyl “No Competition”

  • Level 21: Sticker “Safety First”

  • Level 26: Vehicle skin “Floor it”

  • Level 30: Weapon Blueprint “Frontal Impact

Call of Duty Open Beta dates for weekend 1 and weekend 2

Those on PlayStation will get to earn these in-game rewards set in Weekend 1. But during Weekend 2 – when the open beta goes cross-play and is available to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC players from September 22-23 (early access for those that pre-ordered) and September 24-26 (all players in all platforms) – all players can earn all ten rewards during this time.

PlayStation pre-order users this week can start pre-loading the open beta starting September 15, 1 AM GMT +8 / September 14, 1 PM EST.

These beta rewards will also be available for the next Call of Duty: Warzone that has yet to be revealed, which is coming later this year. 

 We’ll know more about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 during Call of Duty Next, a livestream event that will go live on September 16 , 1 AM GMT +8  / September 15, 1 PM EST.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on October 28, 2022.
