Octopath Traveler 2 Launches on February 2023

[UPDATE - 9/14/2022]: Square Enix announced that Octopath Traveler 2 is also coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The RPG will release worldwide on all platforms mentioned together with the Switch version on February 24, 2023.
Octopath Traveler 2 was announced for the Nintendo Switch in the recent Nintendo Direct and will feature eight new sets of playable heroes. The sequel will introduce a day/night cycle where outcomes differ based on the time of day.
Just like the first game, players will go through eight different storylines for each playable character that will have their stories eventually intertwine with each other. It seems like the core combat remains the same based on the trailer below.
The RPG seems to be set to launch on PC as well. A user in Resetera shared a screenshot of Octopath Traveler 2 seen in the digital storefront Green Man Gaming as being part of the site’s XP loyalty program, suggesting the game will be available through Steam.
The first game first launched as a Nintendo Switch exclusive for a limited time but publisher Square Enix eventually brought the RPG to other platforms such as Xbox and PC through Steam. It’s still not official if the sequel will be exclusive for the Switch for a limited time but the fact that someone noticed the sequel in a storefront suggests the PC version of the game will launch alongside the Switch version.
