Grand Theft Auto trilogy announced by Rockstar
/Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are being remastered and packaged in the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. It’s set to launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. The collection is also set to come out on Android and iOS sometime in 2022.
Rumors about a collection or a definitive edition of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas have been swirling for weeks when fans noticed a specific code in a recent update for the Rockstar Launcher on PC. This pretty much confirms that what they noticed was spot on.
Rockstar took to social media to officially announce Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition. The video below is more of a tease rather than actual gameplay showcasing how the classic games will look in this package.
Rockstar says the collection will feature “across-the-board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements" while maintaining the classic look and feel of the original game.
It’s pretty vague as not much information was given beyond this but Rockstar plans to reveal more about the collection in the coming weeks.
