Tide of Corruption Pact Traits
To spice up the game, the event adds three Pacts with unique traits that will greatly change the meta for quite a while. What’s new here is that the third Trait associated with the pact applies a new function to a regular trait when your Hunter makes a pledge.
Here’s a breakdown of the new Traits for each Pact.
Death Pact Traits
Witness (1 Pledge Mark) - While in Darksight, dead Hunters are visible, and health restoration is marginally increased when close. Also highlighted in Bettle view. (75m range)
Relentless ( 2 Pledge Marks) - Your Hunter won’t lose a health chunk when downed. This is a burn trait that can be stacked three times.
Vulture (Conditional, active while pledged to the Death Pact) - Looting a dead Hunter will restore one health chunk in exchange for 1 Pledge Mark.
Demented Pact Traits
Acolyte (1 Pledge Mark) - Acquire a random trait and some Hunt Dollars when you or your team picks up a clue.
Remedy ( 2 Pledge Marks) - Using Dark Sight, interact with a Trait to trigger a restoration effect similar to banishing for your team’s Hunters. This is a burn trait that can be stacked three times. (25m range)
Ghoul (Conditional, active while pledged to the Demented Pact) - Damaging a Boss target or wild targets restores a small amount of health.
Infernal Pact Traits
Blazeborne (1 Pledge Mark) - Health Restoration is greatly increased while in flames, and you can’t catch on fire.
Rampage (2 Pledge Marks) - Killing an enemy Hunter while at least one health chunk is empty triggers a restoration effect for your Hunter. This is a burn trait that can be stacked three times.
Bloodless (Conditional, active while pledged to the Infernal Pact) - Bleeding is stopped automatically because your wounds are cauterized within a second.
New Wildcard condition for the event - Dark Inferno
For the Tide of Corruption event, the Dark Inferno Wildcard will be set during the nighttime. This time around they made adjustments based on the previous iteration of the Inferno wildcard as they have said to improve visibility through fires and that the audio of the flames are quieter than before.
Naturally, touching these flames will burn your Hunter.
Just like previous events, expect Battle Pass Rewards that will come with cosmetics, especially for the new weapons coming to the game.
Hunt: Showdown’s Tide of Corruption event will start this week, October 4, and will go live with all the changes that’s in the 1.14 update.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
