Indie Afterlife Adventure De-exit - Eternal Matters Launches This April
/Developer SandBloom Studio and publisher Handygames announced that the indie afterlife adventure game DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters is set to launch on consoles and PC on April 14, 2023.
In DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters, players will embark on an adventure where the afterlife is on the brink of annihilation and you are tasked to save the ethereal dimension. The game features puzzles and hidden passages to traverse the Plane while avoiding shadowy enemies.
This is an indie title inspired by the personal loss of a dear friend and initially began as a solo project by the game’s creative director. The studio eventually grew to a team of twelve, began working on the project, and paired up with publisher HandyGames.
Here’s a quick description of the game from SandBloom Studio.
“DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters explores the cycle of life and death in a manner that provokes thought and offers perspective, with a cinematic style of storytelling. The game’s unique atmosphere is further complemented by the simple yet unique voxel design, with thematic lighting breathing life into the realm of death.”
DE-EXIT - Eternal Matters will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Onew, and PC (via Steam GOG, and Epic Games Store). The game will be priced at €19.99 EUR in addition to a 20% launch discount.
In Steam, DE-EXIT will also be part of a special launch bundle as players can purchase both DE-EXIT- Eternal Matters and Uprising Studio’s SCARF a title also published by HandyGames that was released in 2021.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
