Forspoken’s First Story DLC, ‘in Tanta We Trust’, Launches in May
/Square Enix announced that Forspoken will be getting their first story DLC called ‘In Tanta We Trust’ launching on May 26, 2023.
Frey, a modern-day person who gets transported to another world, finds herself transported to the past of that world. The paid DLC will serve as the game’s prequel as the new content takes place 25 years prior to the events of Forsaken’s main campaign.
Here’s a quick description from Square Enix about the new DLC”
“Continuing her search for a way to eradicate the Break from Athia once and for all, Frey finds herself following a mysterious voice that leads her to a place that somehow transports her to the Purge of the Rheddig, the legendary battle that devastated Athia and eventually drove the Tantas to madness. Accompanied by Tanta Cinta and a new set of magical abilities, Frey must uncover the answers and save Athia once more – and attempt to save herself.”
“In the Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC, players will battle alongside Tanta Cinta using Frey’s newfound magical ability to unlock new combat strategies and coordinate devastating attack combos against the invading Rheddig forces. Scale to new heights in unique, vertically-designed environments with Frey’s honed magic-enhanced parkour skills.“
Players who picked up the Forspoken digital deluxe edition of the game will receive early access to the story DLC on May 23. The DLC can be bought separately when it launches.
Forspoken launched back in January and is available on PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store).
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
