Indie Sci-Fi Platformer Trinity Fusion Launches on December 15
/Indie developer Angry Mob Games announced that their sci-fi roguelite platformer Trinity Fusion is set to leave the early access program and officially launch on December 15, 2023. The full game will also launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Trinity Fusion is a multiverse-infused platformer where you play as Maya as you work with your parallel selves, navigating their own universes with their own unique set of skills and weaponry.
The final launch of the game completes the full package as those who played the Early Access version of the game through Steam can experience the conclusion of the game’s story and test your skills in the game’s final boss. But that’s not all coming to the 1.0 version of the game.
What’s changed in Early Access?
New Content: The size of Trinity Fusion has nearly doubled, adding new biomes, weapons, enemies, and bosses.
Combat: Status effects and elemental weapons have been improved with better on-screen feedback and secondary effects to make players feel more powerful. Combat feedback has been improved across the board to make combat feel weighty, but responsive.
Amplifiers: Limitations on how many Amplifiers (mid-run upgrades) could be acquired were removed, allowing players to constantly improve during a run, working towards bigger and better upgrades called Synergies.
Difficulty Options: Survivor mode offers a slightly easier experience to ease in new players, while Hardcore mode introduces new enemy formations as well as entirely new mechanics for those seeking a greater challenge.
Quality of Life Features:
Teleportation around The Hub to help players move around faster.
Increasing enemy randomization to improve replayability.
Graphical improvements in several stages.
For those jumping in Trinity Fusion through consoles, you’ll get to experience the full experience completely from start to finish. Pre-orders for the game on PlayStation and Xbox are now live as those who opt to get the game early will gain the exclusive ‘Ewer’ skin that becomes available to the player at the starting location of each run.
If you want to jump in the game’s early access, you can do so right now through the Epic Games Store or Steam.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
