It will cost you $10 to get the PS5 versions of Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy

PlayStation announced that the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available on the PS5 and PC on January 28, 2022. This collection contains Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, and if you own the PS4 copies of the game and want to get all the benefits from the PS5 version, it will cost you $10.
Both games look and run amazing on the PS4, but the PS5 version adds a few improvements that will sound enticing for some players to make the investment. For graphics, there will be three enhanced graphics modes available:
Fidelity Mode – For those of you who have a 4K display and want super sharp resolution above all else to enjoy the stunning environments and details the Uncharted series is known for, select Fidelity Mode and play in native 4K resolution with a 30fps target framerate.
Performance Mode – Performance Mode targets a 60 FPS frame rate.
Performance+ Mode – If you’re all about the smoothest gameplay possible and don’t mind a resolution drop, try out our first ever Performance+ Mode which targets 120fps* at a 1080p resolution.
The PS5 version of both Uncharted games will also utilize the DualSense’s features (haptic feedback and adaptive triggers), will have less loading times, and will have 3D audio support.
PlayStation has been pushing the idea of charging PS5 upgrades with their 1st-party titles, and with the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, it’s no different.
Death Stranding’s Director’s Cut and Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s were released this year and both of those PS5 titles come with an upgrade cost if you own the PS4 versions of either game. The only difference is the enhanced features come with new content.
An upgrade to Death Stranding’s Director’s Cut will cost you $10, while the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut upgrade options are more varied since the Director’s Cut also comes with the Iki Island expansion.
PlayStation didn’t suddenly spring the idea of charging for PS5 upgrades for PS4 exclusives. When they announced that they will offer a free PS4 to PS5 upgrade for the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West back in September, they also stated that moving forward, a $10 charge will be the norm in future PlayStation exclusive titles that offer PS5 upgrades.
Physical copies of Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will be available for the PS5 and will cost $49.99. The collection will also be available on PC, giving many a shot at playing what I think is the best out of the Uncharted series.
