It’s Going To Be a Big Month for Xbox in September
/It has now come to a point that 2023 is a year many will not forget as the year has been delivering us with great games each month and it looks like it’s not slowing down one bit as we enter the Ber months, which is considered one of the biggest months for gaming. This September is now exception, but it’s a particular big month for Xbox as there’s a lot to look forward to on their side.
Xbox Series S will soon have a 1TB option available
Xbox kicks off September with the launch of the 1 TB version of their entry-level console the Xbox Series S. This is simply the same Xbox Series S that was released with the Series S, only this time it has the same black design (Carbon Black) as the X and features double the storage.
This 1TB version is priced at $349.99 and should be available in your area.
Starfield officially launches this week
The start of September also means the release of Bethesda Game Studios’ new IP Starfield, as it will be officially available on Xbox, Game Pass, and PC on September 6.
The sci-fi RPG is one of the most highly anticipated titles for the longest time and it looks like the initial response for the game has been mostly positive as Starfield currently holds an 88 aggregated score on OpenCritic. Those who purchased the Premium edition of the game is currently playing the full version due to them being given 5 days early access, and the current reception to players through social media have also been mostly positive.
We too have been playing the sci-fi epic since the start of September and it’s shaping up to be another hit for Bethesda with the potential to have strong lasting power similar to Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Xbox Game Pass Core replaces Xbox Live Gold this month
Xbox is making a big chance as they officially retire their first subscription service Xbox Live Gold and evolve it around the Game Pass brand. Starting September 14, Xbox Live Gold members will be automatically converted to the new Xbox Game Pass Core. This service provides access to online play on Xbox consoles and a catalog of over 25 titles.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
