Like a Dragon: Ishin Guide - Where To Get the Special Guest Trooper Cards
/The spin-off Yazuka game remake called Like a Dragon Ishin! now features Trooper Cards in the game’s main combat. These cards can provide buffs and let you dish out crazy abilities. For the western release of the game, Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio included special Trooper Cards based on famous personalities that are fans of the series. These are free DLC cards and here’s a quick guide on how to get access to it in the game.
How to get the special guest trooper cards
Claim the DLC in the online store
For starters, you’ll have to obtain the free DLC through your platform’s online store. Just search for the Elite Generals Trooper Card Bundle. Once that’s done, you’ll have to reach a certain point in the game to earn these special guest trooper cards in-game.
Reach Chapter 5 and unlock Trooper Cards
Trooper cards become only available once you reach Chapter 5, so if you just started, just enjoy the game until you reach Chapter 5 where Sakamoto Ryoma joins the Shinsengumi as one of their newest Captains and you’re introduced to how Troopers work in the game.
Locate Bakumatsu Bob
Once you go through the game’s tutorial on how Trooper Cards work, you’ll unlock the NPC Bakumatsu Bob, a funny looking character with a red nose. He’s the game’s designated DLC guy as any DLC you earn will need to be reclaimed by him.
He’s actually easy to find as you can find Bakumatsu Bob in Teradaya Inn, the player that Reyoma stays. Just go inside and you’ll find Bob at the end of the ground floor to the right.
Claim the Elite Generals Trooper Card Bundle from Bob
Interact with Bob and look for the Elite Generals Trooper Card Bundle. Once you’ve claimed it the game will ask you to save the game.
And that’s all you need to do. Claiming the bundle will give you access to Tropper cards of wrestler Kenny Omega, Streamer Cohh Carnage, Vtuber Nyanners, Cosplayer Vampy Bit Me, and music composer youtuber Alex Moukala.
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
