Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra Debuts First Story Trailer, Out in 2025
/Marvel and Skydance New Media have released a cinematic story trailer for Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra set in the World War II era with playable characters Captain America, the Black Panther Azzuri, a U.S. soldier Gabriel Jones, and a Wakandan spy named Nanali.
No actual gameplay was shown but this is the first time we saw actual footage of the characters and their art style for the game, and the character visuals as the trailer was running in real-time. This scene in particular.
The trailer also gives us a bit more context about the game’s story which revolves around the rise of Hydra, with Azzuri (T’Challa’s grandfather) as Black Panther at the time, and Steve Rogers not exactly friends, at least for now.
Here’s a quick description from Marvel.
The new story trailer was revealed at Epic Games’ State of Unreal keynote on March 20, 2024, where Skydance New Media and Epic Games announced their ongoing collaboration to bring state-of-the-art visuals to Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. Showcasing the latest features of Epic’s Unreal Engine 5.4, Skydance New Media unveiled the trailer as well as a special sneak peek of a key scene between Captain America and Black Panther in Occupied Paris.
Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra is being helmed by Amy Hennig, who is bests known for her work in the Uncharted series.
No platform was announced but they did reveal that Skydance is aiming for a 2025 release.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
