Capcom has revealed all that you can expect from Monster Hunter Wilds first Free Title Update. Title Update 1 will launch on April 3 PDT/April 4 BST with the addition of the monster Mizutsuse, the ability to fight Zoh Shia beyond the campaign, a gathering hub for players, Arena quest, and more.

Title Update Breakdown

Fighting Zoh Shia again

Zoh Shia was a unique monster encounter that only happens once during the game’s campaign, but with Title Update 1 the monster can now be fought again multiple tiles after completing a particular quest that unlocks in Hunter Rank 50.

The Grand Hub and Arena Quests

A gathering spot for players is one of the most requested features in Monster Hunter Wilds as it was always a staple feature for endgame grinding in the series. The Grand Hub is the equivalent of past hubs as most vendors can be found here as well as new ones as the update will also add Arena Quests with some being limited and will task players to get the best time to hit the top of the leaderboards.

The hub will also feature the game’s new mini game called Barrel Bowling, which contains various rewards for hitting specific scores. At night, a special character will perform a special song number at the hub.

Arch-Tempered Rey Dau

Capcon is introducing Arch-Tempered monsters, an even stronger version of Tempered Monsters and they’re starting with a Rey Dau version in the form of an Event quest going live on April 29 PDT and will run until May 20 PDT.

Check here for the full schedule of the last batch of Event quests for March 2025.

Seasonal Event - Festival of Accord Blossomdance

Monster Hunter Wilds will have seasonal events and they are starting with Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, an event to celebrate Spring and will be held at the Grand Hub from April 22 - May 6 PDT. The look of the hub, rewards,, and food offered, will change depending on the seasonal event currently live.

They also mentioned a special collaboration with another Capcom series, so expect similar collaborations such as a Mega-Man inspired equipment or maybe something with Street Fighter 6.

Monster Hunter Wilds Free Title Update 2 Monster Teased

At the end of the presentation, Capcom teased the next monster coming to the game for free through Title Update 2 slated for a Summer release. The monster was briefly shown but fans are quick to notice its a monster called Lagiacrus, a Leviathan monster that was first introduced in Monster Hunter 3.
