MultiVersus Enters Open Beta on July 26, Early Access Is Next Week
/Warner Bros. Games and developer Player First Games announced that the platform fighting game MultiVersus will hit open beta on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam) on July 26. Early access begins next week, July 19.
If you happen to join the closed Alpha for MultiVersus, you are instantly given early access to the open beta version of the game. If not, you can attempt to get access through Twitch Drops. More information about getting access to the game’s Early Access next week can be found in the game’s FAQ.
For the Open Beta, Iron Giant is confirmed to be a playable character alongside Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Shaggy, Velma, Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil, Arya Stark, Tom & Jerry, Jake the Dog, Finn the Human, Steven Universe, Garnet, and an original character called Reindog.
The Early Access and Open Beta will feature eight maps with 2v2, 1v1, 4-player free-for-all, custom online lobbies, tutorials, local play up to four players, and co-op vs AI game modes. Multiversus will also have cross-play between PC and consoles and will have rollback netcode for online play.
According to the game’s FAQ, MultiVersus’ Open Beta will be available in Americas, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. And just like most free-to-play titles that hit the Open Beta, there won’t be any progression whip of any kind.
