New World Guide: Where to find Silver Ore
/In New World, you’ll eventually find yourself mining a few resources that are required for early game crafting and refining . One of them will be Silver Ore, a tier 2 resource that can be found in specific spots in the game world. Here’s a quick guide on how to find them, where they are usually located, and the best area to farm the resource.
How to find Silver Ore
At this point, if you’re looking for Silver Ore, you have a pretty good idea how to track them as you can mine these resource nodes once you hit level 10 in mining. Just like Iron Ore, Silver can be found in mountainous areas, mines, and Highland locations (light brown patches in the world map)
Silver can be found more easily in all four starting regions - Everfall, Monarch’s Bluffs, Windward, and First Light. These resource nodes seem to spawn at the same location each time and seem to have a fixed respawn timer (to be confirmed). For exact locations, you can try this interactive map that can highlight where Silver nodes are located. I tried it myself and it seems fairly accurate but the map lacks a few details like area names and other landmarks to make the tool easier to use.
When hunting for Silver Ore, make sure you’ve reached at least level 35 in mining so that you can easily track them. The game will let you know that you are near a mining node if you see a silver stone icon in the game’s compass, which is located at the top of your HUD.
Best place to farm Silver Ore
The best place to get the most Silver Ore is in Everfall as there are a good amount of nodes close to the settlement. The closest would be Faith’s Bounty, which is right outside the settlement. Head there and most of the ore you find there should be silver. Be sure to check the cave Midnight Den in the area as there’s usually a large Silver ore node accompanied with a few smaller ones waiting for a player to claim it.
It’s a shorter trip but the problem is there’s a lot of competition with it being near a settlement. It’s safer to gather in Faith’s Bounty, but if you’re up for a riskier location I suggest going north to Canary Mine from Everfall Hamlet.
This location has a crazy amount of Silver Ores around the mines, but the only trade off is that there’s hostile enemies guarding each one. If you’re willing to take the risk, be sure you are at least above level 15 before taking the trip up north as you’ll be dealing with corrupted foes. It’s also easier to be mobbed by these enemies so tread lightly.
Silver Ore is just the tip of the iceberg in the road of mining in New World, so hopefully this guide made it a tiny bit easier as you explore more of Aeternum.
