Persona 3 Reload and Persona 5 Tactica Now Officially Announced
/The leak of Persona Reload and Persona 5 Tactica made quite a stir during the weekend, but now it's made official by Atlus and Sega as both games were revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase that concluded this week.
Persona 3 Reload
Starting with Persona 3 Reload, this game is a remake of Persona 3 released back in 2006, bringing the classic to modern platforms. P-STUDIO worked on the project as the game features improved controls and visuals while retaining the same original story and characters.
You can watch the trailer below and see the remake in action. The most notable change shown is the game’s UI, which is greatly inspired by the art style and layout of Persona 5.
Here’s a quick overview of the remake provided by Sega:
“Persona 3 Reload will feature new-and-improved controls and visuals while preserving the original story and characters. Reexperience the game that defined the franchise with high-quality, pristine graphics!”
Persona 5 Tactica
We then have Persona 5 Tactica, a strategy game that features a more child-like version of Persona 5’s world and characters. The Phantom Thieves are back and in a more strategic space.
Here’s a quick overview of the game provided by Sega:
“Persona 5 Tactica, the newest installment in the Persona 5 franchise, is coming to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows. One More, All-Out Attacks and other familiar features make their return in this stylish tactical RPG. Lead your characters on the battlefield and outmaneuver your enemies to claim victory!”
Both titles are coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. Persona 5 Tactica is set to release on November 17, 2023 while Persona 3 Reload will be released sometime in early 2024.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
