Star Wars Outlaws Gameplay will be revealed at Ubisoft Forward 2023
/During the 2023 Xbox Games Showcase, Ubisoft revealed their first Star Wars game called Star Wars Outlaws which is being developed by the folks at Massive Entertainment. We got a CG trailer during the Xbox show, but you can expect a gameplay walkthrough of the game during this year’s Ubisoft Forward showcase going live on Monday, June 13 at 1 AM UTC +8.
This is an original story set between Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. Players will take on the role of a scoundrel named Kay Vess and is accompanied by her companion Nix and will be attempting one of the greatest heists in the Outer Rim.
“When we first imagined the first open-world Star Wars game, we explored where and when it could take place, and quickly realized that we had all the right ingredients for the journey of a scoundrel. These outlaws live life under the thumb of the Galactic Empire, but can still thrive given the opportunities that the criminal underworld opens up for people looking to take advantage of the turmoil,” said Julian Gerighty, Creative Director at Massive Entertainment.
Massive Entertainment is best known for its work on the RPG looter shooter Tom Clancy’s The Division.
Star Wars Outlaws is set for a 2024 release for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
