How do I claim these PlayStation Plus Collection games for free?
Not all is lost as you have a few months to redeem these games and add them to your account. Even when the PlayStation Plus Collection goes away after May 9, as long as you’ve redeemed the game, you’ll be able to play them while subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
This collection is for those with a PS5. Simply:
Navigate and click the PlayStation Plus tile found on the leftmost part of the PS5 homescreen
Once selected, head to the ‘Benefits tab’ and press the ‘PlaySTation Plus Collection’ tile
Press ‘View Games’ then start adding the games not in your PlayStation Plus library (you’ll know if you’ve redeemed the game if you see ‘In Library’ on the bottom left of the game’s thumbnail)
The PlayStation Plus Collection was meant to give PS5 owners a collection of games to play around with during the console’s first few months out in the market. At the time, the PS5 didn’t have that many titles out in 2020. I guess Sony feels the purpose of the collection is now irrelevant considering that they now have the Game and Classic Catalog updating regularly each month as well as the usual Monthly Games offering to all of their subscribers.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
