Crowbar Collective is a group of developers best known for their work on Black Mesa, the fan-made remake of Valve’s Half-Life that was fully released in 2020 thanks to Valve approving its commercial release.
Rogue Point is Crowbar Collective’s way of converting into a full time development studio, and they paired with publisher Team 17 with their first new IP.
“We can’t thank Team 17 enough for their support and expertise.” Says CEO and Project Lead Adam Engels in a press release. “Just like Black Mesa, we want to heavily involve the community in our development and updates. Our community was critical in the Early Access of Black Mesa and having Team 17 as a partner for Rogue Point helps us focus on development and community feedback!”
Rogue Point will be in Steam’s Early Access and they are targeting to be in Early Access for a year, though the developers won’t hesitate to increase or decrease the timeline.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has the potential to be a favorite for fans of the franchise, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience with its story and cinematic presentation. While the game shines in its exploration and puzzle elements, the combat and stealth mechanics’ lack of gameplay variety holds it back.
