Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is Finally Getting an Offline Mode
/Developer Rocksteady Studios is finally releasing an offline mode for their live service 4-player co-op shooter Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League on December 10.
An offline mode is the most requested feature from players as many were disappointed to find out the game launched only being allowed to play through the game’s campaign online.
Season 4 Episode 8 is the last major update for Suicide Squad
The feature will launch together with the game’s Season 4 Episode 7, which adds the game’s last playable character — Deathstroke. Episode 7 will be the game’s second to the last live service update as Season 4 is the game’s last season.
“With Deathstroke joining the roster, the Suicide Squad’s crusade against Brainiac is drawing to an end. Season 4 will finish up with Episode 8, which is scheduled to release in January 2025, and that will serve as the last seasonal Episode for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. While Season 4 Episode 8 will mark the final battle against Brainiac, all online features will continue to be available, so you’ll still be able to enjoy co-op with friends, as well as all previous seasonal/episodic content.” Rocksteady said in a post on the game’s website.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was released in February 2024 with mixed reviews as the online co-op game was meant to be a live service game that Rocksteady intended to support in the long run. Despite their efforts, the game failed to create a significant player base to justify further support from the studio.
For reference, SteamdDB shows the game reaching an all-time player count of over 13,000 players on Steam at launch on February 2. At the start of March, the player count went below 1,000 players, and has struggled to maintain a player count of four digits for months.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has the potential to be a favorite for fans of the franchise, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience with its story and cinematic presentation. While the game shines in its exploration and puzzle elements, the combat and stealth mechanics’ lack of gameplay variety holds it back.
