Survival Game Nightingale Launches on Early Access on February 21 With Twitch Drops
/Inflexion Games is set to launch its PVE-focused Survival Game Nightingale through Steam’s Early Access program and Epic Games Store on February 21, equipped with twitch Drops.
To celebrate the release of the game’s early access, the studio released a detailed gameplay trailer showcasing the survival game’s unique features. Beyond the typical features you’d expect from a survival title, the concept of Realm Cards provides a unique twist for players to choose the biome and environment they will be exploring in their world.
Players alter their world by picking a Biome card, a Major card, and a Minor card, providing various properties of your world to the point that you can alter how gravity works. It’s an interesting spin that gives the players even more freedom and opportunities depending on what goal they’ve set for themselves.
Another unique feature is the endgame content they have planned for Nightingale as the game features a social hub called The Watch, which allows players to group up for challenging dungeons, take on quests, or plan their next adventure. These endgame dungeons sound intriguing as it’s intended for group play, so it’ll be interesting on how they were designed.
Twitch Drops is a go
Lastly, Nightingale will feature Twitch Drops, which will be available from February 21 to 28. Simply watching any participating Twitch channel playing Nightingale with Drops on will give players a chance to unlock two exclusive Victorian-style cosmetic outfits, an umbrella, and a puppy pet to be used in-game.
According to Nightingale’s Steam page, Inflexion Games is expected to be in Early Access for around 9-12 months. While they don’t have an exact date for the official release, the Early Access will launch with these features available:
A multitude of realms to explore across three different biome types (forest, desert and swamp)
A large variety of creature types to hunt - from the smallest rabbit through to imposing Apex creatures
Comprehensive building and crafting tools, alongside estate management
Progression system spanning all aspects of gameplay
Solo and online cooperative play up to six players”
This will be music to the ears of kids who grew up on the series, but for the uninitiated, there’s nothing quite like the Mario & Luigi games. Mario & Luigi Brothership does its best to appeal to a wide range of players with charming presentation and a strong new Battle Plug system, but not everyone will be enamored with its reflex-testing gameplay.
