Hunt: Showdown Begins Their 6th Anniversary Celebration With Twitch Drops Starting on February 23
/This week Crytek will start the 6th anniversary celebration of their intense online shooter Hunt: Showdown with another round of Twitch Drops, giving players a chance to win supply crates, cosmetics, and a random legendary hunter if they watch Twitch streamers play the game for a certain amount of time.
Partner Drops
Partner unlocks consist of three Supply Crates if you watch a Partner streamer (Night of the Hunter streamer) for at least three hours. You don’t have to watch continuously as your progress carries over if you choose to hope and watch another partner streamer. As long as you hit the amount of time needed for the reward, you’ll get your crates unlocked instantly the next time you boot up Hunt.
The contents of these crates will contain:
1 x Random Rifle
1 x Random Pistol
1 x Random Shotgun
1 x Random Special Weapon
3 x Random Tool or Consumable
1 x Random amount of Hunt Dollars
These are one-time items meant to boost your arsenal of items to choose from.
As for the last reward in Partner Drops, Watching for at least four hours will score you the “Swallow’s Tail” legendary skin for the Winfield Centennial.
The Partner Drops will begin on February 23 to 25.
Anniversary Drops
Anniversary drops begin on February 25 to March 1, and these rewards can be earned by watching any Twitch streamer playing Hunt: Showdown, regardless of them being Crytek partners.
You’ll have two crates to unlock when the anniversary drops go live and will randomly contain one of the items mentioned above, with the first one earned after one hour of watching, while the second will be earned on the third hour. The second hour of watching a streamer will score you the “Molted Curio” weapon charm.
Lastly, watching four hours of Hunt during the Anniversary drops period will earn you a random legendary hunter you still do not own. This reward will consist of these legendary hunters:
Lulu
Kill Buyer
Billy Story
Steel Eyed
The Infected
Umpire’s Bane
According to the official website, previous Twitch Drops Hunters provided in the past will be the priority if you don’t have them in your account. If you own all the legendary hunters mentioned above, you’ll unlock a random legendary hunter from those that can only be obtained through Blood Bond, the game’s premium currency.
If you’re an avid players who own all legendary hunters, you’ll be given 10,000 Hunt Dollars instead.
This isn’t a one-time use of a Legendary Hunter like in previous Twitch Drops but a permanent unlock for your account.
We’ll know what Crytek has in store for Hunt: Showdown for the rest of 2024 as they celebrate the game’s 6th year. They did give us an idea of what to expect in early 2024 as they do intend to visually upgrade the game, increasing the minimum specs of the game.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
