The Crew 2’s Last Major Update Called “Mad Vol. 2” Is Now Available
/Ubisoft announced that The Crew 2 has received its final update after 6 years of live service. Titled “Mad Vol.2” the last update introduces optimized content rotation aimed to deliver an unlimited amount of player-created content.
This update introduces a new hobby called “Stunt Performer 2” along with 12 new Mad skills, challenging players to unlock the new Mazda RX7 Evo Group B (Rally Cross) to add to their account’s collection.
For player-created content, “Mad Vol. 2” features what they say is the “ultimate version” of the game’s Race Creator feature, allowing players to create unique boat and plane races as well as road races.
Despite this being the last free content update for The Crew 2, curated content such as LIVE summits, themed weeks, and rewards will still be added to keep new and current players engage.
Ubisoft considers this the “first step” towards providing weekly automation content. New ajor updates may stop, but Ubisoft’s teams will still be supporting the game as colllection import will remain available and active, allowing players to access all vehicles they have acquired in The Crew 2 and continue to grow their collection, which can then eventually be used in The Crew Motorfest.
This is no surprise that Ubisoft is shifting away a game released back in 2018 as it makes sense to pool more resources in the series’ latest game, The Crew Motorfest which launched just last year in late 2023. The game is entering its third season of post-launch content on March 13 with a brand-new Playlist titled “Hollywood Action!” to celebrate car culture.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
