Helldivers 2 Is Officially Getting Mechs Soon
/Helldivers 2 looks to be in a better place now with improved server capacity and matchmaking fixes as Arrowhead Games Studios can now exert efforts to update the game as they teased that mechs are officially coming to the 4-player co-op game very soon.
This is no surprise as mechs were around in the original game as players can call down a mech like any other Strategem that allows one player to pilot. It was even teased in a video trailer (shown below) with a notice in the video saying it’s “coming soon after launch”.
In the first game, mechs had a limited ammo count and come with different variations as you can call down a mech like any other Strategem with the weaponry you choose, so it’s likely this will be the case here as well.
For the majority of the Helldivers 2 community, this is exciting, but those who have been tinkering with the game’s game files already know this is coming and have already tried the out as there have been reports on Reddit with video footage showing players calling these mechs down into a live mission.
Mechs aren’t the only thing they found as they also discovered more unreleased Strategems like calling in NPC soldiers for support and weapons and gear we have yet to be released in the game.
Since the game’s release in early February, this is Arrowhead Games’ first real push to promote or even tease new content as the studio has been struggling to improve matchmaking, fix network issues, and improve server capacity due to the game’s growing popularity. We are now close to a month since the game’s release and based on SteamDB, the game is still pushing impressive numbers as it’s still hitting concurrent player counts as high as over 300,000 on Steam alone.

Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
