The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Gets a Second Trailer
/Nintendo concluded their February 2023 Nintendo Direct showcase with the second trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. It is also confirmed that the sequel will cost $69.99 when it launches on May 12, marking it the first title in the series to be priced at that range.
The latest trailer highlights the many things you can do to the sequel’s open world as we saw a hot air balloon of sorts, a tractor, and a lot of gliding and free-falling. The video started with a mysterious voice calling out to destroy the world. It could be Ganandorf once again in some form but we’ll see as we get closer to release or play it ourselves to find out as it’s only a few months away from release at this point.
Here’s a quick description coming from Nintendo’s official website describing the sequel.
“An epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule awaits in The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch™. The adventure is yours to create in a world fueled by your imagination.”
“In this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom?”
In a response from GameInformer’s inquiries regarding the price, This is currently not a trend for Nintendo titles going forward as the company will “determine the suggested retail price for any Nintendo product on a case-by-case basis."
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
