Xbox and Bethesda’s Developer Direct Is Happening This Week
/Xbox and Bethesda’s Developer Direct is happening this week
Xbox and Bethesda are set to present a Developer Direct livestream this Wednesday, January 25, giving fans a better look at some of the upcoming games for Xbox PC, and Game Pass. Games such as The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall are expected to make an appearance.
The livestream is happening on January 25, 12pm PT/3pm ET through Xbox’s Youtube and Twitch channels.
What to expect from the January 25 Developer Direct livestream
ZeniMax Online will be at the livestream to talk more about their MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online as the studio plans to reveal not only the game’s next major Chapter update but also tell which region of Tamriel will players explore next. After the Developer Direct presentation, ZeniMax will have their own solo event to focus on the full reveal of the game’s next Chapter.
We then can expect Turn 10 to give us an update on where they are going next with their next title simply called Forza Motorsport. They dropped the number for this one when it was revealed they are working on a new one for the Xbox Series X|S and this week we’ll hopefully know more about what they have planned since the reveal, not much is officially known about the latest title.
For Mojang Studios, they plan to show off upcoming action RPG Minecraft Legends and its PvP mode. Expect new gameplay footage and hopefully an actual release date as it’s currently set to release sometime this Spring.
Lastly, Arkane Austin will be showing off a new look at their upcoming vampire-filled FPS game Redfall. In an interview with GamesRadar, Arkane developers working on the game considered that their new game is more like Ubisoft’s Far Cry series than another take at the Left 4 Dead formula. Hopefully, whatever they plan to show this week finally clears things up as Redfall is slated for a 2023 release.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
