Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass Getting Another Price Hike in All Regions
/Microsoft announced that they will implement a new price increase for Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass taking effect on July 10 for new members. For existing members, the new price will take effect on September 12.
Another major change is for Xbox users as Xbox Game Pass for console will be replaced with Xbox Game Pass Standard, and the only difference between the two is that the new standard tier will not offer day one releases.
Here’s the breakdown of each offer.
New Xbox Game Pass Core (12 months) - $74.99 (was $59.99)
New PC Game Pass (monthly) - $11.99 (was $9.99)
Xbox Game Pass Standard (monthly) - $14.99 (was $10.99 as Xbox Game Pass for console)
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (monthly) - $19.99 (was $16,99)
PC Game Pass price increase in the Philippines
For those in the Philippines, the price hike for PC Game Pass will also take effect as the monthly price for the subscription will go from PHP 119 to PHP 175. Those in other regions may find the price changes in their respective regions here.
The price hike is understandably inevitable but the big surprise is likely the new tier that provides a cheaper subscription option for the price of not getting day one titles. Those who want to get day one titles from the service will have to consider the Ultimate moving forward.
