Spider-Man: Edge of Time
/Activision just announced the next Spider-man title by developer Beenox, the same developer who made Spider-man: Shattered Dimensions.
Here we have another cross-over of Spider-man and Spider-man 2099. Activision says that there's a "cause-and-effect" system where the actions of one Spider-man could alter and effect the timeline of the other Spider-man. It sounds like a good idea but one that could be easily done wrong. I'm expecting very campy choices similar to Spider-man: Web of Shadows in which the choices were very black and white as opposed to how well and mysterious it was done in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
Marvel's Peter David is writing the story for Edge of Time.
"We want to create a totally distinct experience in Spider-Man: Edge of Time by working with Peter David on the story and creating this urgent, high-stakes experience where time is working against you and the fate of Spider-Man hangs in the balance,"
said Dee Brown, Studio Head, Beenox.
The game is said to be due this fall but as to what platform it will be on haven't been announced at this time.
