Santa Monica Studios released a new trailer that focuses on God of War Ascension's single player campaign. This God of War prequel is set to release on March 12.
The demo for the single player campaign should be up on PSN right now for everybody to check out. So if you are curious about the changes, start downloading.
The beta of the next God of War game is only available for PlayStation Plus members but became available to the public for a short time. I was only able to spend a night with the public beta but is more than enough for me to understand how Sony will pull off a multiplayer God of War game.
I was only able to reach up to level 4 so I didn't have the best equipment going into battle but could still hold my own as I learned the game.
About freaking time. Sony finally decided to give a bit of love for God of War: Ascension's single player by releasing a 30 second trailer. Short, but I'll take it. It's better than nothing.
The last footage shown was during last year's E3 when they presented a live demo of the single player. Since then, all the attention went to the multiplayer aspect of the game.

We all know the upcoming God of War is a prequel that has multiplayer. The latest trailers for Ascension focuses on multiplayer showing the perks your warrior can earn when they sell their soul to one of the four gods; Zeus, Hades, Ares, and Poseidon. Revealed so far are Zeus and Ares, check the trailers below.

Where's the latest footage of the single player campaign? I have no clue. It appears that Santa Monica Studios want to focuses on show casing the multiplayer aspect of the game first before anything else. God of War having multiplayer just doesn't make much sense, and I'm sure we have a lot of questions about it, which is why I believe they went on with advertising this first before revealing any more info about the single player' campaign.
We can't say Sony haven't shown any single player content though. A gameplay demo was revealed at this year's E3 and while it was not as impressive as the God of War 3 demo in the past, it's good to see Kratos back in action spilling blood all over the place.
I still have my doubts, some games just don't need multiplayer, and God of War is one of them.
God of War: Ascension comes out next year March 12, 2013 exclusively on the Playstation 3.
Before the Gods, before the Titans, there were the Furies. These three deities are the antagonist in Ascension. The story takes place after Kratos sells his soul to Ares. To break the bond with the God of War, Kratos will have to defeat the Furies that hold the contract.
Hopefully the fight against the furies is as intense as the fight with the gods during God of War 3. With what was revealed in this video, the furies seems like regular enemies that Kratos slaughters for fun. It's a prequel yes, but I guess I'm hoping for Santa Monica to top their work in God of War 3, or at least bring the same quality in the fights.
The game is also set 6 months after Kratos murdered his wife and kid, so it will be interesting to see Kratos slowly becoming less human, and more of the Kratos we all know.
God of War: Ascension is scheduled to be released on March 12, 2013 on Playstation 3.
