Absolver's Combat System Is Worth Checking Out

Absolver, an online fighting game being developed by Sloclap and published by Devolver Digital, has a new detailed video explaining the game's combat systems and it also revealed the games' release date - August 29 for PlayStation 4 and PC.

I would like to think that players in Absolver are making their own version of Ryu - a wandering warrior, fighting online opponents (hopefully stronger than himself) to further improve his own fighting style. Fighting other players lets you unlock new moves, which then gives you more options in developing your move list. Mentors are also an interesting mechanic, which allows players to be mentored by other players and hopefully in the future learn that Mentor's move set.

Animations are smooth. Each move can be connected and as you can see in the video they all connect seamlessly, making it even a treat for the eyes. Stances are also a thing which gives you your preferred way of defending or countering enemy attacks.

It was revealed at last year's E3 and we are intrigued thanks to this game's combat. With a release date now announced, we expect more detailed explanations about Absolver in the coming months.

Absolver will be out on August 29 for PlayStation 4 and PC.
