Ubisoft has unveiled Rainbow Six Siege X, a major update launching on June 10. This overhaul brings enhanced visuals, deeper tactical gameplay, and Dual Front—a new 6v6 mode featuring a unique map and mixed Attacker-Defender teams. Siege X also marks the game’s transition to a free-to-play model.

Ubisoft has once again delayed Assassin’s Creed Shadows, the next entry in the long-running open-world franchise, to allow more polish and time for developers to make changes based on player feedback. It is now set to launch on March 20, 2025.
XDefiant, developed by the Ubisoft San Francisco team, is officially shutting down as the free-to-play FPS will only have its servers open until June 2025. It was also reported that two Ubisoft studios are shutting down, effectively laying off up to 177 employees, with the rest being moved to other projects.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows greatly blends the classic Assassin’s Creed stealth with the RPG elements of recent entries. Its dynamic world, seasonal changes, and improved stealth mechanics make exploration a joy, but Yasuke’s restrictive gameplay, overall story, and a half-baked notoriety system hold it back.
