Dead by Daylight Shrine of Secrets perks for March 29 - April 4, 2023
This section found in the in-game store of Dead by Daylight gives players a chance to unlock perks from Survivors or Killers still unavailable for them, or have not yet earned the highest tier.
It being worth it depends on what you have available during that time so choose carefully as 2,000 shards are hard to earn, especially for new players from either side.
Killer Perks
Fire Up (The Nightmare)
Each time a Generator is complete, this perk earns 1 token, up to a maximum of 5 tokens.
Each token applies a stackable buff of 3/3.5/4% per token, up to a maximum of 15/17.5/20% to these actions:
Picking and dropping downed Survivors
Breaking walls, pallets, and Generators
Vaulting windows
Hangman’s Trick (The Pig)
This perk gives you a loud noise notification whenever a Survivor starts to sabotage a hook. While carrying a Survivor, you see the aura of any Survivor within 2/4/6 meters of any hook.
Survivor Perks
Wiretap (Ada Wong)
After repairing a Generator for a total of 33%, this perk activates and you can press your ability button to install a Wiretap on the Generator, which will last for 60/70/80 seconds.
When the Killer comes within 14 meters of the Generator with Wiretap, their Aura is revealed to all Survivors.
Damaging the Generator will disable the Wiretap.
Stake Out (David Tapp)
Every 15 seconds you are within the Killer’s Terror Radius, while not being chased, this perk earns 1 token, up to a maximum of 2/3/4.
When this perk has at least 1 token, Good Skill Checks consume 1 token and will be considered as Great Skill Checks, giving an additional progression bonus of 1%.
If you naturally get a Great Skill Check, you won’t consume a token.
Which perks are worth getting this week?
This week has a pretty decent offering for both sides. Stake Out is a great perk when paired with Hyperfocus, making you a Generator repair speedster if you can pull off multiple Great Skill Checks.
Wiretap is also a good perk to use as it generates good information for your team. It’s not as good as Landmine since it gives the whole team a few seconds when it goes off, but it can find some use for the whole team if used correctly.
As for Killers, Fire Up is a must-buy if you are lacking perks that support you for endgame matches. The increased vault speed and breaking pallets can turn things around, especially if paired with other perks that speed these actions.
Hangman’s Trick is probably the weakest offer this week as it’s a situational perk to an action you might see every now and then. Sabotaging isn’t the end of the world, and you can easily adjust if you catch it early and is aware of the hook placements once you pick up a Survivor.
Mid-Chapter update revealed
This week, Behaviour also revealed the mid-chapter update after the release of the Tools of Torment Chapter, showing big changes to certain perks and killers. The notable ones are massive nerfs to Med-Kits across the board, plus changes to the Blood web. There are also significant changes to high-performing perks like Dead Hard and Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance.
