Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Set to launch in 2025
/During the first State of Play stream for 2024, Sony Interactive Entertainment gave us an extensive look at Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The sequel is now set to launch sometime in 2025 on the PS5.
Sam is back and with familiar faces as he takes on a similar journey beyond the US. The goal is the game but broad as he is now tasked to connect with the rest of the world through the network they’ve established in the US in the hopes to fight the unknown anomaly that is the Death Stranding. Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux return and is joined by Elle Fanning and SHioli Kutsuna. Surprisingly enough, Troy Baker is also returning as his character Higgs which now rocks a new look with a crazy guitar weapon on hand.
The sequel embraces the game’s unique gameplay where players take the role of carrier in the hopes of connecting one human settlement to another in the hopes of surviving this post-apocalyptic world. The trailer highlights visually stunning scenery and looks like there are various methods for Sam and his group to go around the mysterious Death Stranding.
It’s our first good look at the game since it was announced last year. No release date was given or any other details but we can expect more from Kojima Productions throughout 2024.
Kojima is a busy man
Hideo Kojima is a busy man as not only is he working on Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, he also announced a new unannounced stealth espionage IP that will be developed in collaboration with PlayStation Studios.
Kojima is also working on another new IP called OD with Xbox Studios and movie director and actor Jordan Peele. The project was announced during the 2023 Game Awards
Metaphor: ReFantazio is now my favorite title from the Persona team by far. It’s one of those rare games where its main pillars work harmoniously, and you get lost in its charm. It’s a pristine JRPG, with enough style and substance to satisfy hardcore JRPG fans, Persona fans, and even those who rarely touch JRPGs.
