Detroit: Become Human Has Sold 10 Million Copies Since It Debuted in 2018
/Developer Quantic Dream’s latest player-driven interactive story game Detroit: Become Human just hit a new milestone as it has sold 10 million copies since it launched in 2018.
The sales milestone was announced on the game’s official social media channels, and Guillaume de Fondaumière, CEO of Quantic Dream has this to say:
The entire Quantic Dream team is joining me to proudly announce that Detroit: Become Human has now sold in excess of 10 million (paid) units on PlayStation and PC.
We are extremely grateful to each and everyone out there who played the game. You mean the world to us and we couldn’t have achieved this incredible milestone without every single one of you!
It’s David Cage’s latest project that delivers deep storytelling with various outcomes and situations that shift depending on how the player interacts in the world or what choices they make. It was received fairly well when it launched years ago as Detroit: Human currently has a respectable Metacritic score of 78 on the PS4 (PC has an 80) with critic reviews and an 8.7 in user reviews. It even holds an impressive overall ‘Overwhelming Positive’ user review rating on Steam with over 100,000 reviews logged so far. While people will joke about David Cage or the ‘Press X for Jason’ due to Heavy Rain, their latest project was a hit for many.
To celebrate, the game is currently on sale on Steam as it’s 75% off until October 15.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has the potential to be a favorite for fans of the franchise, delivering an authentic Indiana Jones experience with its story and cinematic presentation. While the game shines in its exploration and puzzle elements, the combat and stealth mechanics’ lack of gameplay variety holds it back.
