Diablo IV Patch 1.1.1 Buffs Revealed for Sorcerer and Barbarians, Patch Goes Live August 8
/During the July 28 2023 Campfire Chats livestream with the Diablo IV developers, they go into detail on what to expect from the upcoming patch 1.1.1 that is mainly to address Sorcerer and Barbarian issues as well as other improvements such as additional stash space.
For starters, Sorcerers and Barbarians are getting a bit of much needed love in this patch as a few things have been buffed to give more variety in the endgame.
Here’s a rundown of all the class changes. These are not final as Blizzard intends to release the official patch notes on Auigust 2 as this list is what was shown during the live stream as developers want the community to digest what is changing instead of releasing a patch that would catch us off guard, similar to what happened in patch 1.1.0.

Sorcerer 1.1.1 changes

Flickering Fire Bolt
Change to: Fire Bolt generates 2 Mana when hitting an enemy
Fireball
Enhanced Fireball
Change to: Casting Fireball increases its radius by 50%
Destructive Fireball
Change to: Fireball’s Critical Strike Damage is increased by 20%
This bonus is increased to 30% if Fireball hits 3 or more enemies
Chain Lightning
Greater Chain Lightning
Change to: Each time Chain Lightning bounces, its next hit deals 5% increased damage
Destructive Chain Lightning
Chance to form: Crackling Energy increased from 25% to 30%

Vyr’s Mastery
Damage bonus increased from 10% to 15%
Esu’s Ferocity
Additional functionality: Both bonuses are also granted for 3 seconds when hitting a Boss with a Critical Strike

Change to: Your Burning effects deal x20% increased damage, plus an additional x2% increased damage per unique source of Burning you have applied to the enemy

Change to: Casting Fireball or Meteor increases your Critical Strike Chance by 5% for 5 seconds, up to 15%

Storm Swell Aspect
Bonus damage increased from 11-20% to 21-30%
Snowveiled Aspect
Unstoppable duration increased from 2-3 seconds to 3-5 seconds
Additional functionality: Also grants 10% bonus Armor for 3-5 seconds
Incendiary Aspect
Change to: Lucky Hit: Damage from your Pyromancy skills has up to a 12-17% chance to restore 10 Mana
Snowguard’s Aspect
Change to: While within your own Blizzard and for 2 seconds after leaving it, you take 20-25% less damage

Mana Regeneration increased from 20-30% to 40-50%
Duration requirement to gain its benefit reduced from 3 to 2 seconds

Damage penalty reduced from 65-55% to 45-35%
Damage to Stunned affix replaced with Lucky Hit: Change to Restore Resource
Reduced the distance offset per bounce range from 3 to 2.5
This should make it easier to hit close enemies with Fireball

Respec cost decreasing by 40%
Elixirs now stacking to 99
One additional stash tab
Leaving dungeon reverting to 3-second cooldown
Cold Enchanted, Resource Drain, and Backstabber Nightmare Dungeon affixes removed
Experience for Whisper activities and Hell Cache opening will be increased
Diablo IV is now available and is going through its first season called Season of Malignant.
