Ghostwire Tokyo and Its Spider’s Thread Update Are Now Available in PC Game Pass
/Tango Gameworks’ Ghostwire Tokyo was just updated this week with the massive free Spider’s Thread update, which adds a new rogue-lite game mode, new missions, powers, and more. The game is finally available on Xbox and PC Game Pass.
This is the best time to experience Ghostwire Tokyo as the update enhances the base campaign with new side missions, new enemies, new skills, new areas, extended story cinematics, and improvements to Photo Mode. Then, the update adds a new game mode where players will have to clear one floor at a time to hopefully reach the top. Die once and you are thrown back to the first floor to do it all over again. This an interesting challenge for those experienced with Ghostwire Tokyo’s gameplay.
Have a look at the new additions and the new game mode in the trailer below.
Ghostwire Tokyo Now available on PC and Xbox Game Pass
Since its release last year, Ghostwire Tokyo was a PlayStation 5 console exclusive for a limited time, but no longer as Xbox players can now play the game, perfecting timing as it was updated with new content. Xbox and PC Game Pass subscribers have access to the game as well and start downloading the game starting today.
The game is also available for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium/Deluxe subscribers since last month.
For those unfamiliar with Ghostwire Tokyo, the game is set in modern Tokyo where a good majority of the population has vanished and been replaced with paranormal forces. You are somehow the only one that wasn’t affected and is now being helped by an entity named ‘KK’ to save those affected by this phenomenon and save your sister.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
