God of War Ragnarok Is the Fastest Selling First-party Game in PlayStation History, Sony Announced
/The official PlayStation Twitter account announced that God of War Ragnarok has reached 5.1 million copies sold during its debut week, making it the fastest selling first-party title in PlayStation’s history.
For comparison, the 2018 God of War reached 3.1 million sales in its first three days. The last record holder for fastest selling first-party title was The Last of Us Part 2 as Sony announced that it sold over 4 million copies in its first three days on the PS4.
There’s weight in this announcement as Gamesindustry.biz also reported a few weeks ago that Ragnarok has already had the biggest launch in the franchise’s history.
An amazing feat as the game is not only selling really well, but also being praised by critics and fans as in Metacritic it stands with a solid 94 score and a 8.3 user score.
I had nothing but good things to say about God of War Ragnarok in my review.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
