Hearthstone’s Return to Naxxramas Mini-set Launches February 14
/Blizzard announced that Hearthstone’s Return to Naxxramas mini-set is set to launch on February 14, adding 38 cards to the game. The set launches the same time patch 25.4 goes live, which contains the last big update for Mercenaries.
This new set will contain four new Legendary minions, one epic card, 17 Rare cards, and 16 Common cards. This set also comes with the Death Knight class's first Location card called Construct Quarter, which is a 3-cost, 3-durability card that reads: Destroy a friendly minion to summon a ⅘ Undead with Rush. The set also comes with a Legendary dragon Frost Queen Sindragosa, with the keyword Colossal, a cool new mechanic where a minion is so big that it comes with more than one minion in play. In regards to Sindragosa, her wings are their own minion card.
So far, the new location and Sindragosa have been revealed and more will be revealed as we get closer to the February 14 launch. You can have a look at the card reveal calendar for the set here.
Here’s a full rundown from Blizzard on what to expect from the min-set.
NAXX OUT!
The battle for Silvermoon gains even more momentum as the dread necropolis Naxxramas joins the March of the Lich King! The 38-card Mini-Set premiers four unique Legendary minions, including Frost Queen Sindragosa headlining as the first Death Knight minion to hold mixed Runes. Players will also gain entry to the Construct Quarter, a new Location for the Death Knight class, and synergize with seven freshly added dual-type minions. But don’t worry—there are plenty of cards to help the Blood Elves fight back!
MERCENARIES GET MYTHIC
Mercenaries gains six all-new mercenaries, plus a Mythic Boss Rush end game system, reaching completion of the game mode. Players can add six new Mercenaries to their parties and challenge them with an onslaught of bosses to earn Renown. Mythic Boss Rush will refresh weekly, unlocking a new Boss every day, giving players plenty of opportunity to earn and spend Renown beyond max level.
Mercenaries get Faction identities when new dual-types arrive in the mode, allowing players to fully synergize their parties of Human-Undead, Celestial-Beasts, and more. In addition, many Mercenaries will also be gaining new faction flags to announce their allegiance with the Explorers, Legion, Empire, Scourge, or Pirates. These new faction flags are in conjunction with Horde and Alliance labels, allowing players extra synergies for their Abilities, Equipment, and Treasures.
CUTE CORGI COSMETICS
Players can show off their love for their adorable corgi companions with brand new cosmetics! Darion leads the Corgle team with a Death Knight bundle, and Nemsy shows off a corgi mascot with her Warlock bundle—both bundles will be available in the shop.
The Return to Naxxreamas min-set will cost 2,000 Gold or 1,500 Runestones. If you prefer the all-Golden version of the set, it will set you back $69.99 or 10,000 Gold.
As for Mercenaries, as mentioned earlier, this is the last big update as the new mode – which launched in 2021– will only get occasional balance changes and bug fixes but no more new content after patch 25.4 as Blizzard will be focusing on the base game and Battlegrounds.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
