How To Get the Season of Plunder Season Pass in Destiny 2

Season 18 of Destiny 2 was revealed during the game’s livestream showcase and it’s called Season of Plunder, and if you like what’s coming next season, here’s a quick guide on how to get the Season Pass for Season of the Plunder and what to expect from it.

How to get the Season of the Plunder Season Pass in Destiny 2

For starters, just like previous seasons, the season of Plunder Season Pass will feature a free version so it’s not necessarily required to purchase it. However, you’re missing out on a lot of resources and advantages for having the premium version unlocked.

To unlock the premium rewards you’ll need 1,000 Silver, which is Destiny 2’s premium currency. This equates to $9.99. You can purchase Silver straight from the game’s in-game store or you can get them on your chosen platform’s online store (for example, Steam). If you haven’t picked up the game’s latest expansion, another option to get access to Season of Plunder’s Season Pass is picking up The Witch Queen Deluxe Edition, which already comes with access to not only Season of Plunder’s Season pass, but the next season, which is currently called Season 19.

After you’ve unlocked the Season Pass, you’ll get this season’s unique exotic weapon as the first reward in the premium tier. From there start playing the new content, unlock the new Artifact, and start leveling your new Season Pass.

What will be in Season of Plunder?

In Season of Plunder, Destiny 2 is going for a pirate-themed season that will last from August 23 until December 6. Eramis – the big bad in Destiny 2: Beyond Light – has reemerged once again and is rallying her pirate Fallen crew. You Guardians do the same as you gather your own allies in the form of Spider and Mithrax.

Season of Plunder will feature new activities called Ketchcrash, Expeditions, and Pirate Hideout, pirate-themed activities where you get to raid Fallen ships and go through an expedition to hunt for treasure.

The biggest addition is the revamp of the Arc light powers, also known as Arc 3.0. Just like how Season of the Haunted introduced Solar 3.0. This season completes the revamping of the original three powers with Arc finally using the same current systems as the other powers. Arc will have their own fragments and aspects giving players more customization  as well as new abilities and Supers.
