MultiVersus is Now Available, even in the Philippines and Other Asian Countries
/The fighting game MultiVersus is now officially out in the wild on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
It also seems like the game is now available in Asia as developer Player First Games had to restrict the game from being available in the Asia region during the game’s open beta stage. At the time, the team decided to restrict access as they were focused on stabilizing the game and addressing other issues.
Now, the game is in a better place and it’s good to see the game is available in the Asia region. Looking through the Steam version of the game it even has regional pricing for those in the Philippines.
Looking through the Hong Kong PlayStation Store also confirms the game to be available in that region.
MultiVersus is also available in Japan.
The game feels stable enough so far
At least in my region, the connection with players seems stable enough as 2v2 and 1v1 matches feel seamless. But this is yet to be fully confirmed as I am experiencing bot matches every once in a while, so further time with the game is needed to see if the connection is in a good place to those in Asia.
MultiVersus launches with cross-platform and cross-progression support that features a series of iconic characters from Warner Bros. lineup of franchises as we see characters such as Superman, Bugs Bunny, Shaggy, Rick and Morty, and other characters duking it out Super Smash Bros. style.
Season 1 premium content is given for free to returning players
Season 1, which is called “Puns & Villainy”, is now live and its premium content found in its Battle Pass is given for free to all returning players as this is Player First Games’ way of saying thank you to the community that participated in the open beta session before they temporarily took the game offline to work on the issues addressed by players.
This means one of the latest playable characters to join the MultiVersus roster, Jason Vorhees of Friday the 13th, is free for players to pick up in the Battle Pass.
Returning players have until June 11 to redeem the season 1 premium pass for free.
Are certain Asia regions still barred from playing the game? Let us know in the comments!
Life is Strange: Double Exposure brings back Max Caulfield with new time-manipulation powers, but struggles to capture the original’s emotional weight. While the dual-timeline mechanic is engaging, the story’s weak twists, forgettable characters, and technical issues hold it back. A nostalgic revisit, but not a standout entry in the series.
